Red Box Giveaway! Now Open to Worldwide Contestants!

RPG Musings is giving away a D&D RED BOX!! — UPDATED! AGAIN!

Yes, It’s time here at RPG Musings to give away another product and we have decided to send out a copy of the newly-released D&D Starter Set.  Here are a couple of pictures of the actual product you will get if you win this contest.  These two pictures were taken on a card table in my dining-room this evening.  You will receive it in this exact condition, brand-new, in shrink-wrap, and ready to be played.

4e D&D Essentials Starter Set Front
4e D&D Essentials Starter Set Back

I opened up my copy of the RedBox and thought I would give you a taste of what you will receive if you win this contest:

Overall Contents of RedBox

If you would like to see closer pictures of the components, you can look at my thread here: RPGGeek.com

So, What Are the Terms of the Contest? (a.k.a. what the heck do I have to do to win this sweet little box?)

1. You must write a haiku about D&D or Essentials or this contest or something related to RPGs.

2. You must post the haiku as a comment here (on this post) on RPG Musings.  Don’t worry, this can the be most ridiculous haiku ever written.  Winning has nothing to do with your skill as a haiku writer, this part is purely for entertainment.

3. You must follow @DMSamuel on twitter.

4. You must agree to play a game of RedBox-Only 4e D&D and have it recorded and released as an actual play podcast.  DMSamuel will DM this game via skype.  Also participating in this game will be @adamjford, @ryvencedrylle, and @icu_seamus (and maybe one more player).  This game will take place after the winner has received their prize and had a chance to look it over, and will be at a time that is most convenient to all the participating players.  Since this game will be recorded and released as an actual play podcast, please indicate your willingness to be recorded in your submission.

5. Winner must reside in the US or Canada – I apologize, but international shipping is too expensive for us at this time. This contest is now open to contestants WORLDWIDE.  There will be an International winner and a North America winner.  That also means two games :)

6. Contest ends at midnight on Sunday September 12th, 2010.

7. Winner will be chose at random from the list of people who comment on this thread with a haiku, follow Sam on twitter, and agree to play and be recorded as per items 1-4 above.

That’s it.  That is all you have to do.  Have fun & play lots!

Until next time, I wish you good gaming!

~DM Samuel
